Our next Steps classes will meet in October, 2023
Whether you’re a new believer wanting to learn more about the basics of the faith or a lifelong believer seeking new challenges in serving God, we have a Step for you! We meet three Sundays following the third worship service for a light lunch, then break into Step groups. Child care is provided. Please note: each step is a three-part series, and you will need to attend every session before moving on to the Next Step.
Step One - Discovering Christian Community
A basic introduction to our church family taught by Dr. Scott Koenigsaecker. Learn who we are and what our church is about. For those who desire it, Step One leads to reception into church membership.
“If I can answer any questions for you about this class, please give me a call. I look forward to getting to know you more personally. “- Pastor Scott
Step Two - Developing Spiritual Growth
“We are not meant to remain as children … but to grow up in every way like Christ ….” – Ephesians 4:14-15.
Taught by Keith Sandell, our youth director, this series will help you focus on five basic habits to develop spiritual growth:
Time with God • Time in the Bible • Time in Prayer • Time for Serving • Time with God’s Family
Step Three - Determining our S.H.A.P.E. for Ministry
Each of us is uniquely gifted for ministry in the church. Elder Dave Neidhardt will look at five personal factors that have combined to shape the “real” you. The ministry for which God has created you will become clear when you identify your specific traits. (Step Three is a prerequisite for Step Four.)
Spiritual Gifts • Heart Passion • Ability • Personality • Life Experiences
Step Four - Discerning Our Life Journey
Exploring and responding to God’s work in our lives is what helps us find our calling and contribution. Rev. Rick Dietzman will be lead a personal integrative exercise which will enable you to look at the milestones in your life and gain insights through a life time line technique he learned in a leadership class at Fuller Seminary. Participants must have completed Step Three, and must be available to attend all three sessions in this series.
Step Five - Defining Money Management
The Bible is full of solid information about successful money management. Please join Jim Bess for this fun, informative and interactive class, designed to give you the tools you need to make good financial decisions and have ever-increasing financial confidence in all stages of life.
Budgeting • Planning for your future • Debt • Insurance • Investments • General common sense with money
