MEET THE PASTORS

Dr. Scott Koenigsaecker

Dr. Scott Koenigsaecker

Lead Pastor

I have been the Lead Pastor here at SCC since fall 1995. Prior to coming here I was an Associate Pastor of Small Groups, Adult Education and Marriage and Family Enrichment Pastor, as well as a Youth Pastor for over 16 years. My doctoral work was at Fuller Theological Seminary in marriage and family counseling, which I have utilized to develop marriage enrichment programs, parenting seminars and various men’s and women’s workshops.

I have had the opportunity to write curriculum for several different companies, write freelance articles for various publications and co-author a book on small groups entitled Get ’em Talking which was Golden Medallion Award winner.  At SCC my primary job description is to preach, lead and administer the day-to-day workings of the church. We have an exceptional staff team and very dedicated board of deacons and elders, with whom it is my privilege to work.

In 2015 I became Chair of the Candidates Under Care Committee of the EPC Pacific Presbytery NW. The CUCC is charged with guiding and mentoring those who are seeking ordination in the EPC. As a committee chair I also sit as a member of the PPNW Council.

In 1980 I married Claire, who is a real estate agent. We have two grown sons David and Paul, and a grown daughter Grace. In my spare time I like to work out at the local gym, fish and crab. I would be happy to hear from you. You can email me at office@sequimcommunitychurch.org

Rev. Rick Dietzman

Rev. Rick Dietzman

Associate Pastor to Adults

I was born in Martinez, California and committed my life to Jesus at the age of fifteen at a youth retreat.  I was greatly influenced in college by the Christian small groups at UC Davis, where I studied electrical engineering and spent time with other young people who had a heart to grow and follow Jesus. I’ve also attended Fuller Theological Seminary at three campuses over the years  and have a Master of Arts in Theology and a Master of Divinity equiv.  I’m a lifelong learner so my next educational endeavor is pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Ministry Leadership through Fuller’s Doctor of Ministry program.

One of my life mottos is reflected in the SCC core value: “Life change happens best in small groups.” I’ve seen this principle ring true in every ministry area I’ve been involved in, so I believe that this role at SCC is a perfect fit for the way God has wired me to be.

My wife Andrea and I have been married since 1996, and we have three children. In the early years of our marriage we lived in Eastern Europe. In the year 2000 we came back to San Jose, California where I began serving as an assistant pastor.   We moved to Sequim in 2007 and I’ve continued to enjoy the many new challenges of overseeing adult ministries, the small group ministry and teaching classes.   You can contact me at rick@sequimcommunitychurch.org

Eli Webb

Eli Webb

Director of Children's Ministries

Hi guys! I am so excited to be the Children’s Director at SCC! I’ve been a part of this church for a little over 2 years, beginning as part of the worship and arts team. I led the worship for the youth group and kids programs, as well as being a band member on Sunday mornings. My home is here in Sequim with my beautiful wife, Aimee. Together we share a desire to teach and experience the life-changing power of the Gospel.

I’ve been a Christian since I was 16 years old. I left behind religion for a relationship with Jesus and I have never been the same. Jesus says, “Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” I think that childlike faith teaches us to be more trusting of Him and His goodness for our lives. The chance we have to partner as a church in walking out the Gospel with these kids is a unique honor and a blessing.  You can contact me at eli@sequimcommunitychurch.org
