March 16, 2020
This morning, Governor Jay Inslee signed an Emergency Declaration limited groups of 50 or more, and closed restaurants, recreational facilities and more. They are strongly encouraging social distancing. In light of this, we are taking our services online, and we’re providing new opportunities for fellowship via the internet and telephone.
Our small group facilitators will be contacting their groups about having a phone conference fellowship and prayer after the Sunday service concludes. If you are not in a Rooted small group or Heart 2 Heart group and would like to be placed in a phone-in Sunday fellowship group with some of your friends, call the church office and we will set you up. The status of other activities is being decided this week.
If you’re interested in joining us for small group fellowship, sign up for your phone conference number soon at freeconferencecall.com Then email Rev. Rick Dietzman the number and access code they give you. If you have technical problems setting it up, call him at (360) 477-8750. The service is free and doesn’t require a credit card, and it’s simple to setup. We can all do it!
We are going to try a call-in service Tuesday, March 17 for Heart 2 Heart. Call 425-585-7894 at 9:30 a.m. If the phone service is overloaded, an alternative way to join on a smartphone or desktop with microphone is to click on this link, and follow the prompts. https://join.
- Children’s and Youth Ministries will follow the school’s protocol.
- Steps will continue on Sunday, as the groups are small. We will not be providing lunch in light of health recommendations.
More details to come….
If you are not able to join us at the church, we encourage you to watch our live-stream worship service starting at 9 am on YouTube.
If you sign in to YouTube first, you can subscribe to our channel, and new church videos will appear in your list automatically. You can also access the stream by pressing the “Watch” button on the main page of our website. If you need a DVD version of the service, please contact the church office.
Churches in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties are going completely to livestream (with empty auditoriums) as of this Sunday. Since we may have to do the same in the future, we are creating ways for our congregation to watch the service on livestream and fellowship together. We will be adding a Small Group Conference Call opportunity to the livestream, so that after the service concludes you can discuss the message and receive prayer with a small group of friends over the phone. Look for more specifics as things develop.
Finally, wherever you pray, remember that the act of turning in love and trust to Jesus with our hearts and minds is a way of turning away from fear and isolation. Jesus promises that he is always with us. Let us depend on it!
