Our Next Steps series is February 25, March 4 & 11, 2018
Please note: Step Four is not offered during this series.
Step One - Deepening Our Christian Community
Step Two - Developing Our Spiritual Habits
The purpose of Step Two can be found in Colossians 4:12b “…That you may become mature Christians and may fulfill God’s will for you” and Ephesians 4:14-15, “We are not meant to remain as children… but to grow up in every way like Christ…” This class will help you focus on five basic habits that Christians use to develop in their movement towards spiritual growth. This class will help you better understand and implement these five habits: Time with God, Time in the Bible, Time in Prayer, Time for Serving, and Time with God’s Family.
Step Three - Discovering our S.H.A.P.E. for Ministry
The purpose of this class is summed up in Ephesians 4:11-12 (God) has given…pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of ministry, so the body of Christ may be built up. Dave Neidhardt will prepare you for the work of ministry at SCC. The foundation of this class is that each of us is uniquely gifted for ministry in the church. You will look at the Five Personal Factors (spiritual gifts, heart passion, ability, personality, experiences) that have combined to shape the “real” you. The ministry for which God has designed you will become crystal clear.
Step Four - Declaring Our Life Mission
Discovering and responding to God’s plan is what changes our lives from an intermission to a mission. God has created us for a purpose. He wants to include us in the expansion and enrichment of His Kingdom as close as across the street and as far as the other side of the world. Because we want everyone to be a part of God’s mission in this world, Rev. Rick Dietzman is leading Step Four. The focus of this seminar will be to help you: discover your mission in life, know how to share the message of the Gospel, identify and impact your sphere of influence and become a world-class Christian. Not offered Spring 2018
